How we work. Who we serve.
The detailed version. Who we're built for, what we actually run for them, the security stack behind it, what it costs, and what to expect.
We're built for businesses like yours.
Most of our clients run between 5 and 500 people. Small enough to know everyone's name, big enough to need real IT under the hood. We've gone especially deep in five verticals.
-
Manufacturing & Logistics
Production floors, warehouses, trucking fleets. Connected operations that can't afford downtime, with distributed and mobile risk we already know how to defend.
-
Hospitality
Hotels and hospitality operators. PMS support, property networks, POS integration, and the staff training docs nobody else writes.
-
Professional Services
Law, accounting, consulting, and other knowledge-work shops. M365-heavy, document-sensitive, compliance-aware, dependent on collaboration tools that just work.
-
Non-Profits
Mission-driven teams running on thin budgets and thick board oversight. We know the M365 nonprofit licensing, the donor-data sensitivities, and the audit trail you'll need.
-
Emergency Services & Skilled Nursing
EMT services, skilled nursing facilities, and the regulated, HIPAA-touched environments around them. Brian served as MIS director at Millville Rescue Squad before Knight; we've never stopped working in the space.
Not on that list? Call anyway. Between the three of us we've done finance, banking, federal, and almost everything in between.
What we actually do
No generic "cloud / security / hardware" tiles. These are the things our phone rings about most weeks.
Full-Stack Managed Services
We become your IT department. Strategy, implementation, daily support, after-hours response. One team, one main line. No finger-pointing between "the network guy" and "the help desk vendor."
Microsoft 365: End to End, Secured
Your tenant runs without you thinking about it. Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Entra, and Intune. Admin and security treated as one job, not two.
Security & Compliance
From "is there a policy?" to "did we write the procedure?" to "are we actually doing what we say?" We cover all three. Backed by a 24×7 human-led SOC and a full operating stack (EDR, SASE, SIEM, SOAR, GRC, DNS filtering).
AI Workflows & Agentic AI
Enhance your team. Don't subtract from it. We design AI workflows and build agents that take the soul-crushing repetition off the desk, so your people can focus on the work they were hired for. Secure by default.
Teams Phone & VoIP (KTS VoIP)
Phones that just work, on a platform we own end to end. No carrier finger-pointing when something breaks. Number porting, E911, KYC, and legacy PBX replacement, all included.
Hospitality IT
Front desks that stay up during checkout rush. PMS support, property networks, POS integration, and the staff training docs nobody else writes. We've run the weekend on-call for properties you've heard of.
Backup, DR & Ransomware Defense
Tested restores. Not just green checkmarks. If you've never actually spun a backup up, you don't have one. We run the drills so you don't find out the hard way.
Network Engineering
The conference-room WiFi that just works. Site surveys, VLANs, firewalls, APs, and the unglamorous "why is this slow?" diagnostics. Done properly the first time.
Fractional IT Leadership
For businesses too small for a full-time IT director but too complex for break/fix. We sit in on your leadership calls, own the roadmap, and stay off the payroll.
Real stack. Not security theater.
"We do security" can mean Defender plus a checkbox. Or it can mean a full operating stack running 24×7 with humans behind it. We do the second one. Every layer below runs in the background of every Knight engagement.
-
24×7 SOC
US-based, human-led. Real analysts watching alerts around the clock, not an offshore queue that pages someone at 3 a.m.
-
EDR
End-to-end endpoint detection and response. Every device, every behavior, on every workstation we manage.
-
SASE
Network protection that follows the user, not the office. Same posture at the airport, at home, at the client site.
-
SIEM
Centralized logging with correlation rules that actually fire. Logs aren't security; what you do with them is.
-
SOAR
Automated response playbooks. Threats trigger action, not just tickets sitting in a queue.
-
GRC
Governance, risk, compliance tooling. Evidence ready for the audit you haven't had yet.
-
DNS filtering
First line of defense, before traffic ever reaches the endpoint. Bad domains never resolve. Period.
No surprise bills. Ever.
Most MSPs run a base rate, then bill projects hourly, then send change orders when scope drifts. We don't. One fixed monthly number covers everything we do for you, including the project work that fits the natural lifecycle of your environment.
In the flat fee
- Daily admin and monitoring
- Helpdesk and end-user support
- Patching, backup, and DR operations
- Cloud and M365 tenant administration
- Network operations
- Security tool operations (EDR, SASE, SIEM, SOAR, DNS)
- Lifecycle project work (migrations, refreshes, rollouts)
- Strategic and vCIO time
Outside the flat fee
- Hardware purchases (passed through at cost)
- Third-party software licenses (M365, security tools, etc.)
- Custom development or non-standard one-offs
- Travel beyond standard service radius
The flat fee gets quoted up front, after we know what we're walking into. It doesn't go up because last month was busy.
How we start with every client
Same four steps since 2006. The industry's changed; the order of operations hasn't.
Evaluate
We assess your current environment (network, cloud, endpoints, and backup) and tell you what we find. In plain language.
Strategize
We map the gaps against what your business actually needs to do next year. You get a prioritized roadmap, not a shopping list.
Implement
We do the work (migrations, rollouts, rewires, rebuilds) on a schedule that doesn't torch your team's week.
Support
Ongoing support with direct lines to named engineers. The same people who built it are the ones who answer when it breaks.
What we'll put in writing.
Four things we commit to from day one. Not aspirations. Not marketing claims. Things we'll back up if you ever call us on them.
-
One number, every month
Fixed monthly fee, contracted up front. Includes the lifecycle project work most MSPs would change-order you for. Hardware and third-party licensing pass through at cost. Nothing else moves.
-
30-day onboarding
Contract signed to fully managed in 30 days or less. Switching MSPs is painful enough; we don't make it longer than it needs to be.
-
A named lead engineer
You're assigned one named engineer who knows your environment cold. The whole team backs them up. The round-robin ticket roulette stays at other MSPs.
-
Honest priorities, not SLA theater
SLAs are buckets, and buckets overfill. When that happens, we tell you. We communicate priorities based on actionable data, not what a script says is "Sev 2." You get a real read on where your ticket sits.
